Morrissey ducks out of TV show

Singer and animal rights  campaigner Morrissey called off an appearance yesterday on a US late-night talk show after refusing to share the stage with the cast of reality series Duck Dynasty.

The 53-year-old former Smiths frontman said he cancelled his appearance on ABC TV’s Jimmy Kimmel Live because he could not perform on a show with people who “amount to animal serial killers”.

The Duck Dynasty TV show follows the Robertson family of Louisiana and its business selling duck calls and decoys. The production channel did not respond to requests for comment from the Robertson family.
