Election view

Like David Gerrard (Letters, 30 March) I was pleased to see the prominence given to the Gordon Brown posters put together by the Conservative Party.

However, it occurs to me that these may have an impact quite the opposite to that intended by their originators. As we, the voters, pass them in a hurry to get somewhere the chances of our being able to read the messages are a bit "iffy" and we may be left with an overwhelming impression of a smiling, confident, trustworthy and benevolent leader.
