Medieval party is planned for Palace
TICKETS are now on sale for Historic Scotland's biggest ever event, featuring two days of medieval pageantry in Linlithgow.
The Party at the Palace 1503 will mark the Year of Homecoming on May 23 and 24 at Linlithgow Palace.
The event will feature more than 120 costumed performers celebrating the marriage of King James IV of Scotland to Margaret Tudor of England, the sister of Henry VIII in 1503.
It will start with a horseback parade along the main street of Linlithgow, assembling for a procession down into Linlithgow Palace, Loch and Peel.
Tickets are available on-line now with a ten per cent discount at www.historic-scotland.gov.uk/shop, and they can also be bought on the day.
