Mayor's Olympic pledge
BORIS Johnson promised to turn "Olympophobes to Olympomaniacs" yesterday as he responded to criticism that the Games were costing too much.
The London Mayor was questioned over the multi-billion pound cost of the Olympics during a lively debate with city residents.
Johnson said: "We will turn all the Olympophobes to Olympomaniacs by the time 2012 comes around."
He was speaking at the annual State of London Debate in Westminster, where he also said he had brought in a 3 billion economic recovery action plan.
