Many hands make light work for HRH
THE Princess Royal looked through a class project on the Harbour Light Tower in North Queensferry, after relighting the lamp of what is believed to be the world's smallest Light Tower.
She was presented with the project by pupils from North Queensferry Primary School at the ceremony yesterday.
Only 21ft high and built by world-renowned lighthouse engineer Robert Stevenson, the Light Tower ceased regular operations in 1890.
North Queensferry Heritage Trust, who have leased the Light Tower from Fife Council for 21 years, undertook the 75,000 restoration project that started back in 2007.
