Man’s ear partly bitten off in Glasgow fast food attack

A MAN had part of his ear bitten off in a “totally unprovoked” attack at a fast food outlet in Glasgow.

The 28-year-old victim now requires surgery after being set upon by two young men at KFC in the city’s Renfield Street late on Friday night.

Detectives hunting the attackers said it was a “particularly violent” assault on a man who had only gone in to buy something to eat.

Officers said the victim and his friend were confronted by three men and a woman while standing in the queue.

They decided to leave the shop without getting anything to eat, but as they headed towards the door, the 28-year-old man was attacked by two of the men in the group.

During the assault, part of his ear was bitten off. The injured man was then taken to the city’s Royal Infirmary, where he was yesterday being treated for his injuries.

The first suspect is described as being around 18 years old, white, of slim build and with dark hair. He was wearing a grey tracksuit with yellow writing on it.

The second man is said to be white, around 18 to 20 years old, and of slim build. He wore a dark jacket and had the name Scott tattooed on the right side of his neck.

The other man with them is described as being white, 18-20 years old. He had on a black Stone Island jacket, black trousers, black trainers and a grey beanie hat.
