Man charged with stealing girders
A 38-YEAR-OLD man was yesterday charged with the theft of massive steel girders designed for a new grandstand at the Edinburgh Military Tattoo.
Colin Jackson appeared at Livingston Sheriff Court accused of stealing two 20-tonne steel beams valued at 50,000 each.
Jackson, of Barrmill, Ayrshire, made no plea or declaration and was remanded in custody.
