Man treated for smoke inhalation after flat fire
A MAN has been treated for smoke inhalation after fire broke out in a first floor flat in Buchanan Street, off Leith Walk, this afternoon.
Four firefighters wearing breathing apparatus fought the blaze, which broke out in the kitchen just before 5pm.
The casualty was being treated at the scene and was expected to be transferred to hospital.
• A MAN and a woman have been taken to hospital following a road accident on the A702 between Silverburn and Nine Mile Burn in Midlothian.
The two are understood to have been travelling in a vehicle which left the road at around 4pm. They were treated at the scene and transferred to the ERI.
