Man's body found on city street

THE body of a man was discovered outside a block of flats in the city early this morning.

The man was found lying on grass outside Greendykes House on Greendykes Road shortly after 6am.

Lothian and Borders Police said there were no suspicious circumstances.

One resident, who lives in a neighbouring block of flats and didn't want to be named, said she arrived home from work after her night shift to find paramedics and police outside.

A police spokesman said: "A report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal."
