Man found unconscious on street with head injury has been identified

A MAN found injured in an Edinburgh street yesterday morning has now been identified.

• Police still appealing for information after man found in Oxgangs Street

• Man found at 5am yesterday is in his early 50s to late 60s and had a walking stick with him

Officers carried out enquiries with local businesses in the area around Oxgangs Street, where the man was discovered, and have since been able to confirm his identity.

Enquiries are continuing to determine the how he sustained the injury to his head and anyone who can assist with this investigation is still asked to come forward.
