Man charged with Darren Adie murder in Kirkcaldy

A 51-year-old has been charged with the murder of a man in Fife.

Darren Adie, 42, was found unconscious in Tweed Avenue, Kirkcaldy, on Saturday May 28.

He was taken to Victoria Hospital, where he later died.

Police launched a murder investigation after the results of a post-mortem examination.

Mr Adie’s family paid tribute to him in a statement issued through officers earlier this month.

They said: “Darren was a much-loved son, brother and father who will be sorely missed.”

The 51-year-old man is expected to appear at Kirkcaldy Sheriff Court on Friday.
