Make it easy

While it was great to see our flagship product splashed across page 4 of your newspaper (25 June); and fantastic though it is to have a government seemingly serious about reduction, our elected representatives still can't duck the fact that they have a way to go to make doing business in renewables as easy as it needs to be.

Scotland has over two-thirds of Europe's wind resource, yet we haven't put the pieces in place to allow for Scottish householders and the Scottish environment to benefit to the same extent as our overseas markets.

In the UK, the infrastructure isn't in place to support the public interest in domestic renewable energy solutions.

So legislators, if you are serious, we can achieve that 42 per cent reduction – let's support companies committed to reducing Scotland's emissions and make it easy to get planning for a domestic renewables, easy and financially attractive to export electricity to the grid and more attractive for business to invest in renewables.
