Maisie comes to life in Leith
SHE may famously have gone to Morningside back in the late-1980s, but her map was clearly marked Leith this week.
The much-loved children's favourite, Maisie the kilted kitten, dropped by with her creator Aileen Paterson to Leith Primary school, where pupils were entertained as part of the school's Author and Writing Festival.
Paterson told stories to primary one pupils, along with puppet Maisie.
The Maisie series has been loved by children across the world for decades. Former Edinburgh College of Art student Paterson illustrates the books and is well-known for bringing them to life for children at her workshops.
