WE FIRST encountered teenage brothers JR Green (Jacob and Rory) last year, performing for Music Plus+ at Belladrum.

One year on, they’re poised to make a major impact, having signed a publishing deal with Snow Patrol’s Polar Patrol Publishing and with their debut EP Bring The Witch Doctor due out on 30 October via Hits The Fan Records, which released Frightened Rabbit’s debut LP and Kathryn Joseph’s 2015 Scottish Album of the Year prize-winner. Growing up in Strontian in the northwest Highlands has shaped their genuinely original sound, which mixes traditional folk, accordion and acoustic guitar with sharp, angst-laden lyrics.
