Lothian rail link on track
WORK is said to be progressing well on a crucial new Lothians rail link.
It has been revealed that more than 120,000 hours of labour have gone into the Airdrie to Bathgate line.
Two bridges in West Lothian have also been removed as part of the work, while four temporary roads have been established.
Hugh Wark, of Network Rail, said: "It really is an exciting time in the project right now, with lots of activity taking place in the communities which will ultimately benefit from the reinstatement of the rail link."
