London trip evolves for pupils
PUPILS from four city high schools are to represent Scotland at a science conference in London.
The youngsters from Broughton, Queensferry, Currie and Portobello high schools are all taking part in the Darwin and Contemporary Science Conference at the Natural History Museum throughout this week.
The summit will look at Darwin’s ideas about evolution through natural selection, and how they are relevant today.
The Edinburgh pupils will hear from leading scientists and will have the opportunity to share their views with students from countries including Egypt, Israel, Korea, South Africa, Thailand, Turkey and Ukraine.
