Lettter: Bird in the hand
IN your article, "Fox walks tightrope to slaughter 114 birds" (27 July), the gamekeeper who killed the fox after the attack on the birds informs us that "foxes are not the cute and cuddly animals".
That's a little bit hypocritical, don't you think? Pray tell us, Mr Gamekeeper, what would have become of these birds if the fox had not got to them first?
God gave these creatures wings to fly and what happens to them? They are cooped up in cages all their lives and eventually when they are given their first ray of freedom they are blasted from the skies.
