In your article (“Call for Scotland and Germany to work closely together,” 28 June) energy minister Fergus Ewing claims that since “Scotland leads the world in renewable energy”, our exports to Germany “can only increase as Germany turns away from nuclear power and towards renewables”.

What exactly will we be exporting? Rhetoric and delusion?
