Voters the real test of a politician

ACCORDING to your correspondents (Debate, 1 July) Jo Swinson MP has made her mark with the Lib Dem and Tory leadership by not rebelling over tuition fees despite her previous loudly-expressed position. She harbours ministerial ambitions and, most significant of all, is female.

I trust the good people of East Dunbartonshire will recognise when the time comes that they deserve better and elect someone more interested in them.
