Vote-rigging?
It is interesting that David Roche (Letters, 6 July) sees English expatriates in France as representative of their nation, but I am willing to give the principle a try. If it is true, it does rather suggest the decision to exclude Scottish expatriates in England from voting in the forthcoming referendum is an exercise in vote-rigging.
I can empathise with Mr Roche’s frustration at having his assertions tuned out, though. I usually get much the same reaction from Scots when I mention the Barnett Formula, West Lothian, Darien or immigration controls from Gretna to Berwick.
