Tram timings

I write with regard to your speculative article, “Trams set to run six months ahead of schedule” (1 October).

I think it is important to clarify the current position for your readers, and that remains that work on the Edinburgh Trams project is progressing well and in line with the Overall Client Target Programme published in December 2011, with a full service set to be up and running by Summer 2014.

A report on progress will be put before councillors on 25 
October.
