THE strange news that Ed Miliband’s 22-month-old son Sam has uttered the words “one nation”, used 40 times during the Labour Party leader’s conference speech this week (your report, 4 October), woke up the slumbering cynic in me.

Are the special advisors coaching the little lad as  thoroughly as his father?
