Right to write

Noting Bryan Webster’s disappointment that JK Rowling has written a book about things he doesn’t want her to have written about, (Letters, 28 September), I believe all writers have the right to determine for themselves the subject matter of their books, even when it may disappoint some readers.

Incidentally, if Mr Webster is seeking stories where courage and integrity take centre stage, I can recommend the Harry Potter series of books, by the same author.
