Political border

Brian Wilson (Perspective, 11 July) writes of independence creating an artificial political border. But even non-political Scottish and/or British people can tell the difference between the prevailing orthodoxy in Edinburgh when compared with London.

He would hate to admit it but the majority of Labour supporters in Scotland have much more in common with SNP policies on these topics than the views of Labour in London and therefore can be persuaded to vote Yes in the forthcoming referendum.
