Need for speed

THE “modest progress” agreed between Alex Salmond and Michael Moore would appear to confirm that the independence referendum will be held in the autumn of 2014, between two and three years away.

So any companies wishing to invest in Scotland will either have to take a chance on locating here, go elsewhere or sit on their hands like the rest of us, while both sides pontificate and snipe at each other.

It’s hardly an auspicious start to the brave new country of Scotland if that’s what the people ultimately decide. Can we not hurry up the process?

#1 perhaps it has the highest growth rate, but Scotland's unemployment is rising, now 8.6%...........#2 Samsung are setting up in Scotland due to the Government handouts and for a grossly failing industry which we energy payers are subsidising............We need the vote ASAP so businesses understand how they stand with respect to taxation, currency etc.

The current political situation has'nt deterred Amazon nor has it deterred Samsung heavy industries from investing ,although we will lose our ability to make Bras according to MS Mone. So she will put punish her Scottish workforce because of her political views ,some boss.

If you studied your subject to any degree, you'd realise that business is quite happily 'taking a chance' investing in Scotland all the while.......in fact Scotland currently has the greatest growth in foreign investment in Europe, outwith west London, : http:blogs.channel4.comfactcheckfactcheck-does-scotland-look-bonnie-to-foreign-investors9080...........so worry not, hurry not, let all the unionist lies unravel and the case for independance grow as we head towards 2014.
