MSPs’ bar tab

I WAS interested to note that £125,000 of taxpayers’ money has just been spent on the new bar for MSPs at Holyrood (your reports) in order to wet their thirst after the long gruelling six-hour sessions three days a week in the debating chamber – and even that only when the party whips do their stuff as some MSPs are rarely seen in the chamber.

I do hope, however, that the new minimum prices will apply to this select and private watering hole to try and recover the taxpayers’ money as quickly as possible so that more important issues can be addressed .
