Clark Cross (Letters, 24 September) is clearly very enthusiastic about the potential of fracking as a substitute for wind energy. But he must not get away with dismissing every argument against it as “blatant scaremongering”.

We, the people, have rights under the Aarhus Convention and related environmental information regulations to the most comprehensive and accurate of facts relating not only to wind farms, but now also to fracking.

It is from our governments 
I expect the appropriate information and of that we have so far been deprived.
