Regarding Brian Ferguson’s article on “How not to sell the city” (Perspective, 30 October), I have to say that I find it incredinburgh that the city fathers did not ask your columnist Michael Kelly and his Glasgow Smiles Better Team to devise a marketing strategy and appropriate logo or slogan for Edinburgh.

After all, they have a track record, which is more than can be said for Marketing Edinburgh.
