Booze ban

Scotrail has banned alcohol on trains between 9pm and 10am and nobody will be
allowed to travel between these hours if they are unfit due to
excessive alcohol.

As a former senior ScotRail manager I can’t work out how this will be managed. The overstretched British Transport
Police will not be able to cover all stations. You can imagine trying to police this at Glasgow Central or Edinburgh Waverley on a Saturday night.

And how will people who are refused travel get home? Was this a ScotRail idea or a Scottish Government plan? It is going to cause major problems and more grief for all concerned.
