Letter: Depressing view

Your report on the proposed biomass power station in Leith docks (11 February) was both revealing and depressing. This building will be of such a size that it will dominate the skyline views from many parts of Leith and Edinburgh.

Forth Ports would be wrong to assume local people want and will accept this massive eyesore. What happened to all the grand plans that compared future development of the docklands to another Edinburgh New Town?

Is an environmental disaster really the best that they can offer?
