Legal firm set to help medics
THE world's largest indemnifier of healthcare professionals has announced two main names to head up its new Edinburgh office.
The Medical Protection Society, which looks after 260,000 medics across the globe, will open its Capital base next month.
And it has appointed Dr Rob Hendry to lead the medical team in Scotland, with Dr Hugh Harvie focusing on the dental side.
Dr Hendry said: "Health and legal policy in Scotland is increasingly divergent from England, Wales and Northern Ireland.
"MPS has a key role in supporting members and advising decision-makers about the implications of public policy for healthcare professionals and patients."
