Lauren has big appeal for New Yorkers
A MODEL from West Lothian has made a showstopping appearance at a top New York fashion event.
As part of Tartan Week's Dress to Kilt show Linlithgow's Lauren Tempany sported tartan underwear and stockings.
She was hired for the appearance by top lingerie firm Victoria's Secret, which has had supermodels such as Tyra Banks and Heidi Klum on its books.
It was reported today that the 24-year-old had to undergo a series of stringent physical tests to meet the criteria of the underwear company's bosses, and that she only just made the show after climbing out of her sick bed.
She was first spotted as a 14-year-old model at a Clothes Show event in Glasgow in 1997. Since then she has lived in London and New York, and was voted Scotland's most stylish woman at the Scottish Style Awards in 2005.
As well as Victoria's Secret, Lauren has worked for the likes of Prada and Nicole Farhi, and she plans to move into a career in acting in the future.
