MORE than £1,000 has been raised to help save the Forest Cafe through a series of benefit concerts.
The Roofraiser events, produced by the Forest Cafe and Ten Tracks, attracted more than 800 people throughout April.
The grand fundraising total is now up to almost 25,000, which will be used to secure accommodation for the Forest Cafe.
The arts venue has faced an uncertain future after Edinburgh University Settlement, the owner of the Forest's Bristo Place premises, went into administration.
A second series of concerts will be held this month. Harry Giles, fundraising officer for the Save the Forest drive, said: "It's been wonderful to have so many organisations support the campaign."
