Last of tickets for fireworks event go up
THE final allocation of tickets for the annual fireworks extravaganza marking the end of the Edinburgh International Festival go on sale tomorrow.
The Bank of Scotland Fireworks Concert is due to fill the skies above Edinburgh Castle from 9pm on Sunday, August 31.
This year, international fireworks artists Wilf Scott and Keith Webb will present a display including over 100,000 fireworks, four tonnes of explosives and hundreds of firing sequences including the famous waterfall cascading from Edinburgh Castle.
Accompanying the explosives, conductor Nicolae Moldoveanu will lead the Scottish Chamber Orchestra in a music for Hungarian dances by Brahms and Slavonic dances by Dvorak.
