KT Tunstall goes on Pictish Trail with homecoming gig slot in Fife
SCOTS rocker KT Tunstall has shown she won't forget her roots – by offering an old friend a support slot at her homecoming gig.
The three-time Brit award winner is to play a T in the Park warm up show at Dunfermline's newly refurbished Alhambra Theatre, and has asked unknown musician Johnny Lynch to open the show.
Lynch – who performs as The Pictish Trail – and Tunstall first met when playing the St Andrews pub scene back in the 90s. Now, as she prepares to perform in front of 1700 Fife music fans, the star insists she wouldn't have chosen anyone else.
She said: "I am delighted to appoint Johnny Pictish as second in command at the Alhambra. He's one of the most exciting performers around, and from Fife. Now that's dynamite."
