Killer's father wishes son had taken own life
THE father of Anders Behring Breivik has said he wished his son had taken his own life rather than going on his killing spree.
At his isolated villa in rural France, where he and his wife were under armed guard, Jens Breivik, 76, a former diplomat, said: "I don't feel like his father.
"I will have to live with this shame for the rest of my life. People will always link me with him
"How could he just stand there and kill so many innocent people and just seem to think that what he did was OK? He should have taken his own life, too. That's what he should have done."
Mr Breivik and his second wife, Wanda, 71, had been expected to go to Norway but have stayed in France.
