Kevin pours his heart into quake fundraiser

TRAINSPOTTING actor Kevin McKidd is to raise money for the Children of Haiti by selling signed hearts.

The actor, who studied at Queen Margaret College and was part of Edinburgh University's student theatre company, Bedlam Theatre, has set up a promotion on his website to auction-off hand-crafted paper and fabric hearts signed by himself ahead of Valentine's Day.

Auctions for the hearts will be held on eBay every day until Sunday, ending at around 8pm.

On his website the actor said: "One year on from the tragic earthquake in Haiti and still the country is being rocked by the after-effects of the disaster.

"Please open your own heart and join us in giving generously to this worthy cause."

The Haitian government estimated 316,000 people had died, 300,000 had been injured and more than a million made homeless in the disaster.
