Kenny Richey bins wedding plans
FORMER Death Row inmate Kenny Richey is said to have abandoned his plans to remarry his ex-wife after being left on the brink of financial ruin.
The 46-year-old Scot, who spent 21 years awaiting execution in Ohio until his release almost two years ago, had hoped to remarry Wendy Amerud after they rekindled their romance.
But Richey has suffered a string of misfortunes since relocating to the United States and is now facing bankruptcy and the likelihood of losing their home, with outstanding medical bills going unpaid.
Edinburgh-born Richey reportedly said he has been forced to delay the wedding plans until the couple's finances are under control.
He said: "We are behind with our mortgage and have to think about filing for bankruptcy. We'd love to get married right now but we just can't afford it."
