Karzai's brother admits bank loan
THE brother of Afghan president Hamid Karzai yesterday said he made at least £600,000 by buying and then selling a luxury Dubai villa using a loan provided by the chairman of the troubled Kabul Bank.
Mahmood Karzai, a major shareholder in the bank, said he bought the house in July 2007 to obtain residency in Dubai.
