Jackson doctor's ex-partner tells court of 'commotion'
A FORMER girlfriend of the doctor charged over the death of Michael Jackson has told how he phoned her on the morning of the star's death and that she heard a commotion in the background.
Sade Anding testified that she had been talking to Dr Conrad Murray but at one point realised he was not paying attention to her. She said she heard coughing and mumbling but did not recognise the voice as Murray.
Ms Anding said she stayed on the line for five to six minutes, but Murray never got back on to the phone.
Prosecutors called Ms Anding to testify during a preliminary court hearing in Los Angeles to determine whether there is enough evidence for Murray to stand trial for involuntary manslaughter.
He has pleaded not guilty.
