Jack Straw meets Bulger's mother
JUSTICE Secretary Jack Straw met James Bulger's mother yesterday to discuss the return to jail of her son's killer, Jon Venables
Mr Straw, who has repeatedly refused to confirm why Venables has been returned to custody, met Denise Fergus in his constituency of Blackburn, Lancashire.
Chris Johnson, Mrs Fergus's spokesman, said the meeting, which lasted for about an hour, had been "cordial" but the parties had agreed not to divulge details of the discussion.
It was revealed last week Venables was back in custody. Reports claim he is being investigated over allegations of child pornography.
