Interview: Paloma Faith, singer
What's the last piece of clothing you bought? A 1940s Chinese suit from a store in Covent Garden. I wore it when presenting a piece for the BBC's This Week show. I wanted to wear something that was my take on power dressing, so that the political heavyweights on the show would take me seriously.
What is your best ever bargain?
An amazing flamenco dress that I bought for two euros at a flea market in Seville.
Who has great style?
Marilyn Monroe. She didn't strive to change her body; she worked with what she had and did so to great effect.
Name your favourite high street shop.
I really like Topshop, as you can find everything that you need under one roof.
What are you addicted to buying?
I just love shoes - vintage, designer or high street.
Any fashion disasters you would care to tell us about?
I avoid fashion disasters as amazing designers send me great outfits.
What is your favourite item in your wardrobe?
It was always my ambition to sing on Later with Jools Holland. When I knew I was going on the show I was so excited that I went out and bought a floor-length red vintage dress. I call it my Jessica Rabbit dress.
