Woman had 3lbs of cocaine in her breast implants

A WOMAN with cocaine concealed in her breast implants has been arrested by Spanish police.

She arrived in Barcelona’s El Prat airport on a flight from Bogota in Colombia and is believed to be Panamanian.

Suspicion was raised after she gave border control officers vague answers to questions about the reasons from her trip from Bogota. When border police discovered fresh scars and blood-stained gauze on her chest she was taken to a nearby hospital to check her claim that she had recently undergone breast implant surgery. The implants were found to carry 1.38kg (just over 3lbs) of cocaine.

Spain rigorously checks passengers arriving on so-called “hot flights” from Latin America, to fight drug smuggling.
