Veteran police officer shot dead

Police in Jamaica have launched a manhunt for gunmen who fatally shot a veteran officer.

Robert Sortie, 50, was found dead in his car alongside a busy Kingston road on Saturday with several bullet wounds to his head. He was not on duty when he was killed. Police officials said Mr Sortie had served on the force for 23 years.
