Turks kill 19 Kurdish rebels in air strikes
Turkey: The Turkish military said today it had killed 19 Kurdish rebels in air strikes in the south-east of the country in retaliation for a rebel raid on a military outpost that killed two soldiers.
The strikes were launched in response to a rebel attack on a military outpost in Hakkari province yesterday.
Lebanon: Iranian-backed Hezbollah has routed Sunnis loyal to the US-allied Lebanese government and seized control of large swathes of Beirut's Muslim sector.
