Thirty killed in Pakistan minibus blast
AT least thirty people were killed today in a bomb blast in the Pakistani city of Peshawar.
The explosion also wounded more than 100 people, provincial information minister Mian Iftikhar Hussain said.
A minibus packed with explosives detonated along a road near a well-known market in the Khyber Bazaar area.
The attack came two weeks after another blast in a Peshawar commercial area left 11 dead.
Television footage today showed the charred skeleton of a bus flipped on its side in the middle of a major road. Twisted remains of a motorbike lay alongside the bus and a nearby vehicle was in flames.
Police official Sattar Khan said the dead included women and children. Passengers are believed to have been in the vehicle when it exploded.
