Thirteen bombs injure 20 in Iraq

THIRTEEN car bombs exploded in Iraq yesterday, including eight over three hours in Baghdad as insurgent attacks continued.

At least 20 people were hurt but there were no fatalities. A Sudanese official said six hostages had been released after Sudan said it would close its Baghdad embassy to meet kidnappers' demands.

A Cypriot man abducted four months ago was also freed after his family paid a ransom, a relative said.
