Tajik town occupied over warlord death

About 2,000 people have occupied a Tajik border town to demand troops withdraw, a month after a military assault aimed at capturing an ex-warlord killed dozens of people in the former Soviet republic.

The protest in Khorog came after the killing of a former warlord in the 1992-7 civil war in the Gorno-Badakhshan autonomous region.
