Sylvester Stallone’s son found dead

HOLLYWOOD actor Sylvester Stallone has been left devastated after his 36-year-old son was found dead of an apparent overdose.

Sage Stallone was unresponsive when discovered by a housekeeper and a relative at his home in Los Angeles on Friday. There were no signs of foul play or trauma, and no suicide note was found. Prescription pills are believed to have been found at the scene.

Medics are understood
to have spent around 25 minutes trying to revive Sage before he was pronounced dead.

Sage was best known for playing the role of Rocky’s son in the Stallone movie Rocky V, and was the older of two sons that Stallone had with first wife Sasha Czack.

“Sylvester Stallone is devastated and grief-stricken over the sudden loss of his son,” publicist Michelle Bega said in a statement. “His compassion and thoughts are with Sage’s mother, Sasha. Sage was a very talented and wonderful young man. His loss will be felt forever.”

Sage Stallone made his acting debut in Rocky V in 1990 and also appeared with his father in 1996’s Daylight. He also directed the 2006 short Vic, which was screened at the Palm Springs Film Festival.

Sage Stallone and veteran film editor Bob Murawski co-founded Grindhouse
Releasing, a company dedicated to preserving and
promoting the B-movies and exploitation films of the 1970s and 1980s.

“He was very respectful
of all the actors in all the movies,” said his lawyer George Braunstein. “You couldn’t mention a movie that he didn’t know everything about.”

Braunstein said Stallone had been planning on getting married for the first time, and had frequent requests to work on films.
