Sweden terror suspect on trial

A MAN accused of conspiring with another man who blew himself up in a Stockholm street phoned his mobile a few days after his death and asked why he killed himself, a court has heard.

Taimour Abdulwahab died in the blast in the Bryggargatan area of the Swedish capital on December 11 2010.

Nasserdine Menni, whose age is unknown, is on trial charged with conspiring with Abdulwahab to further terrorist aims, including the use of explosive devices in the commission of an act of terrorism directed against members of the Swedish public, with intent to murder them.

Mennie denies all of the charges against him.
